http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/wiltshire/8502791.stm New Unemployment Support Group in Wiltshire Unemployed people in Wiltshire are being offered a new support group to help them in their search for work. The self-help group, called The Front Room, will offer advice on writing CVs and give tips on interview techniques and how to fill in job applications. Users will be encouraged to share skills with each other and debt counselling will also be available. The first meeting is at St Augustine's church in Rodbourne, Swindon on Tuesday (9th February) between 1200 and 1400 GMT. 'On the scrapheap' Rev Angela Overton Benge, from The Front Room, said: "We cannot provide jobs, that's true. "But what we want to do is make people feel much better about themselves, that they're not on the scrapheap and they do have skills they can use. "We've been given computers so people can write a CV or job applications. "We hope to get people in to help with practising interview techniques."
