Flower Festival - 14th & 15th July 2007

A superb display of flowers brought the church to life with lots of colour.  All of the displays were "Stories from Jesus' life".  Some photo's are posted below.  The weekend included two splendid services, including a Songs of Praise service where members of the congregation chose their favourite hymns and revealed why they had chosen them!

ORGAN RECITAL - 4th July 2007
On 4th July, we welcomed back Professor Ian Tracey, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral to give a recital on the organ.  It was a superb evening of well known, and less well known music, rounded off by a standing ovation for Professor Tracey.
The recital programme is below, as are some photo's of the event.

Our centenary celebrations were begun with the planting of a new tree in the church garden by the Bishop of Swindon, Rt Revd Lee Rayfield.  The £1-a-brick appeal was also launched.  The church was originally built with donations of one old penny per brick.  Please click on the pictures to see a larger version.
