St
Augustine's was sadly never finished, but as it's only 100 years old, we are
lucky to possess a full copy of the plans for the building. It is possible
to stand in the building and visualise
how the church was supposed to look.
Below are photo's and plans of what
the church was originally intended to look like. Further plans and drawings will
be added at a later date. The
first drawing is the architect's first drawing of the church. It was later
modified when the large and ornate tower disappears from the drawings.

The
original floor plan shows that the completed building would be about twice as
big as it is now with addition of extra aisles and chapels. The Western
and Eastern ends of the aisles would have formed transpets. The darker
shaded parts show what was actually built, whilst the lighter shading shows what
was still to come.
